Random December Pictures

Because Tristan had to work for Christmas, we had a lot to do getting ready for it so December seemed to fly by! Here are some pictures leading up to and after Christmas.

Ethan really likes to paint and considers it a special treat to pull the paints out. Here he is getting creative!
I love it when I catch him in this pose. More and more when he is working on his own you will find him resting his head on his hand. It just makes him look so peaceful and like he is thinking deeply.
Carter stretching out!
Another phase Ethan went through is hiding his face when we took pictures. This was while we were getting ready for dinner one night.
He was sitting at the table using the tongs to pull salad out and eat it while he waited. Poor kid must have been hungry--you would think we don't feed him!
New Year's Eve our friends Rich and Allisha had a small gathering at their home. Since I was on my own, I didn't manage to get any pics while we were there, but here are a few right as we were getting ready to leave.
Carter at 3 1/2 months old
While Tristan is gone I do my best to get Ethan down for his nap, but some days it just doesn't happen (especially if Carter is having a bad day). On those days I can tell by the end of the day that he is losing steam. This day he was playing with his train, but was so tired all he could do is lay there and push the trains.
There's that pensive (or maybe just tired!) pose again!
Ethan also likes climbing into Carter's bed or laying on any bed with him--it's so sweet. This day he kept asking to be put into his crib and then asked for Carter to come in, too! These boys are destined to be best buds!
Carter started to get much better on his tummy in December and better at holding his head up, too. This boy is growing way too fast!
Before we knew it, Christmas had come and gone and we were in a brand new year. We look forward to seeing what 2012 brings for our growing family and are grateful for all the wonderful memories from 2011!
