Happy 2016!!

Tristan was gone for New Year's Eve, so it was just me and my boys partying for the day.  We had a great day that started with a balloon countdown.  At designated times, we popped a balloon to find a slip of paper inside that had a fun activity to do together.  Here are all of our balloons waiting for us!
Ethan got the honors of popping the first one!  We headed to Target to pick up a few last minute party supplies.
Popping the next one in the Target parking lot
We met our friends Kelly and Anderson at Charlie Safari for some bouncing fun!

Carter holds the key to our next fun activity...
...making some new year's noise makers!
We also had a silly string party...

...and made some chocolate dipped Oreos for a treat.
We made some pom pom poppers
 and had a pizza party
and then a movie with popcorn, candy and rootbeer out of their own little cans.  The boys were in heaven!

Then it was time for an early countdown, courtesy of Netflix, and a balloon party.

We had a great day ringing in 2016.  We are looking forward to what the new year has in store for us!

Christmas 2015

We love celebrating the Christmas season!  Here are the boys in their Christmas jammies delivered by our resident scout Elf on Black Friday.
The East Olympia Fire Department does a food/blanket drive each Christmas season and they have a Santa that comes around on a fire truck decorated with Christmas lights.  Since we no longer live in their district, we just go to my parents' house on the right night and we still get a chance to see him!  Here they are waiting!  Carter wanted to wear his fire truck shirt.

Ashton saying hi to Santa.
So fun to see the lights on the truck each year.
First Christmas in our new house  The tree was loaded and there were balloons, of course!
Checking out what is in those stockings.
Ashton got a wiggle car from Santa this year.  He had fun riding it around our living room.

Ethan and Carter got scooters from Santa.  They also rode theirs around the house for a little bit.

We had a great day celebrating.  My parents invited us over to their house, so after we opened gifts at our house we went over to visit and open gifts with my parents.  We also enjoyed a yummy ham dinner with them and then came home to enjoy the quiet house as the worn out kiddos crashed for the night.
