March 2015

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, Ethan's school has "book character day" where the kids get to dress up as one of their favorite book characters.  Ethan decided to dress up as Bob the Builder.
And, of course, his brothers wanted to match him.  They love having a Kindergarten brother with fun school celebrations to get in on!
Ethan's Kindergarten class celebrated St. Patrick's Day by making some leprechaun traps to catch some trouble-making leprechauns in their class.  We had fun working on his trap as a family.
Carter wanted to make one as well, so we made another to keep at our house to try to catch a leprechaun, too!
 Ashton had fun "helping".
Off to school with his trap.  And they didn't catch any.  ;)
We didn't catch any at our house either, but we definitely had some trouble-making leprechauns visit!  The boys awoke to trail of Lucky Charms leading to the bathroom.
Looks like he needed to take a potty break!
He left some green "droppings" on our bathroom counter, too.  Yuck!
 Here's our trap.  No luck!
Our milk had magically turned green overnight.  Luckily, it still tasted good.
So poor Ashton had an accident in our wagon.  He was strapped in leaned out of the wagon right as Tristan, who was jogging to keep up with the boys on their bikes, turned.  He ended up tipping the wagon and hitting the cement face first.  The tooth was cracked vertically down the middle under the gumline, so there was no saving the tooth and he had to have it pulled.  I was heart-broken for little man--and to be honest, for the years of family pictures to come with a tooth gap in my little toddler.  But he bounced back quickly, which I am so grateful for.  So ironically, Ashton was the first to lose a tooth in our family even though Ethan had a tooth that had been dangling for weeks.  The tooth fairy hooked him up with $10, thought!  Seems pretty fair to me!
Ashton enjoyed his diet of soft foods for about a week.  Especially chocolate pudding!
A peek at his new smile.  But at least he's smiling!

Getting every last drop of that pudding!
Less than a week later, Ethan lost his tooth as well.  He was a really good sport about the fact that Ashton lost his first.
 Love this sweet picture.
The tooth fairy was busy at our house that week!
I sure love these sweet boys and all the fun (and trouble) they keep me busy with!
